1700 Yachten und RESOLUTE

Admin Am Sonnabend den 19.06. liefen wir um 7.30 Uhr zu unserer Reise nach St.Vaast/Frankreich aus. Zur gleichen Zeit fand das größte seglerische Ereignis des Jahres, das ROUND THE ISLE OF WIGHT RACE 2010 statt. 1700 Yachten nahmen daran teil, es wurden immer 250 Yachten im Abstand von 10 Minuten gestartet - und wir mittendrin!! Mit achterlichem Wind segelten die Yachten und wir den Solent westwärts, soviele Spinnaker habe ich noch nie gesehen! Und jetzt kommt's, beim Runden der Needles wurden wir von dem berühmten Fotografen Beken of Cowes fotografiert!!!!!!!!!! Siehe seine Website.*Note* Auf die Fotos sind wir alle sehr gespannt. Es war dann eine sehr entspannte Reise südwärts, jedenfalls die ersten 50 Seemeilen, bis uns mal wieder der Wind verließ. Morgens um 03.00 Uhr waren wir dann in dem schönen Hafen St. Vaast fest. St. Vaast liegt ca. 20 Seemeilen SSElich von Cherbourg. Abends gleich zum Austernessen. Die Austern werden direkt vor dem Hafen auf ausgedehnten Austernbänken gezüchtet.
