1700 yachts and RESOLUTE

Admin On Saturday the 19th we left Yarmouth for our voyage south to St. Vaast/France. At the same time the ROUND THE ISLE OF WIGHT RACE 2010 was started. 1700 yachts where sailing down the Solent and in the middle of all of them RESOLUTE. We never saw so manny spinnakers. It was beautiful to see such a scene! On passing the Needles, we observed that we where photographed by the well-known photographer BEKENS OF COWES. Please have a look on his website*. The voyage was very enjoyable for the next 50 nm, when the wind left us. On Sunday the 20th at 03.00 hours we arrived at St.Vaast which is situated about 20 nm SSE of Cherbourg.
