Am 29.04.2013 um 05.30 Uhr warfen wir die Leinen los und motorten mit dem letzten auslaufenden Strom zur Mole. Um 06.45 Uhr war die ausgebaumte Fock gesetzt, der Wind wie immer SE 4 von achtern und die gemütliche Seereise begann. Um 17.45 Uhr standen wir vor der Barre des Round Hill Creek. Eigentlich wollten wir dort einlaufen und die Nacht über ankern. Da gerade Niedrigwasser, die Sonne bereits untergegangen war und es auf der Barre brandete, segelten wir weiter. Mit über 6 kn Geschwindigkeit befanden wir uns bereits um 24.00 Uhr im South Channel, der Einfahrt nach Gladstone. Laufend kamen uns große, beladene Massengutschiffe entgegen. Überall raucht und stinkt es, an den Kais wird überall Kohle verschifft, auch Aluminiumbarren aus der hiesigen Aluminiumfabrik werden hier verladen, Bauxit geloescht und Cautic Soda angelandet.Die Marina ist ein geschlossenes Becken, umgeben von Bäumen, mitten in der Stadt. Barbara kommt gerade vom Einklarieren zurück und ist ganz begeistert von dem guten Service. Der Zoll war auch gerade an Bord – alle Papiere sind ok. Unsere Position: 23°49,9'S 151°14,7E
