Yesterday in the morning Frank found his birthdaytable properly equipped with gifts, greetingcards and burning candles. He was very impressed and thankful. At about 10:00 hours, we just wanted to prepare our breakfast, my former pilot colleague Benno was knocking at the hull. What a pleasure to see him in good shape!! Immediately he invited us to his finca up in the mountains. He and his wife Helga lives alternately at La Palma and in their house in Lübeck. Minutes later we all where in the car und up we went towards Bennos finca. What a warm welcolme was given to us by Helga, we had not seen each other for many years. Soon the breakfasttable was ready with all the delicious things the island could offer. Later on we all got rubberboots and we had a long walk over the finca. Avocado trees, bananas, nuttrees and many other trees and a huge flowerfield gave us an impression what can be grown at La Palma.
At 15:00 hours we had to leave because we had to make the preparations for Franks birthdayparty aboard RESOLUTE. The day before Barbara and Frank had cooked already a big pot of chilli con carne for the party.  At about 17:00 hours all our guests arrived, also Helga and Benno with a big bunch of flowers. Late at night the last guests left the boat and we all said it was a very successful party.
Very early today Frank and Markus drove by bus up into the mountains. They will walk there for 2 days.
